Technology entrepreneur Rex G. Ahlstrom received his Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering at Drexel University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, in 1987. After graduating, he went on to pursue his Master of Science in Electrical Engineering at The Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland, receiving his degree in 1992.
Rex Ahlstrom commands comprehensive knowledge in the technical field, including expertise in Enterprise Middleware, integration technologies, Service Oriented Architecture and Enterprise Information management. His current interests are in the information governance and composite application domains.
Currently, Rex Ahlstrom works for SAP in Reston, Virginia, where he holds the position of Vice President of Operations. After leading SOALogix Inc.’s successful acquisition by SAP, he now oversees the third-party ecosystem for Line of Business Enterprise Asset Management, where he works with SAP partners, analysts, customers, and user groups to advance SAP’s EAM product line. In this position, Ahlstrom also develops plans for new revenue opportunities and new partner business strategies for SAP and its partners. He researches the market to positively increase company exposure, as well as improve SAP’s competitive position.
To supplement his business capabilities, Rex G. Ahlstrom is aligned with several organizations, including the MindShare Alumni, a local community of entrepreneurial CEOs. He also conducts many lectures and presentations both nationally and globally to audiences consisting of business professionals, investors, and industry user communities.
Rex Ahlstrom has long lent his talents to his community as a children’s baseball coach and volunteer at his local church and children’s schools.
